Mortal Kombat fans are a little confused in the personalities of the characters that were shown in the Mortal Kombat 1 trailer, especially Kun Lao, Sab-Ziro and Scorpio.

After several years of rumors and teasers, you might think that Netherrealm Studios, finally saying that its next game will be Mortal Kombat 1, will answer all the questions that have arisen for fans for many years. But you are mistaken, since the trailer for the next MK showed that this is a reboot of the temporary scale, which not only changed the personalities of everyone, but also made the majority, but not all, younger.

This led to confusion regarding who each of the characters actually is. It all starts with one of the first frames shown in the trailer on which Raiden wakes up and goes to the field. Considering that at the end of DLC Aftermath at Mortal Kombat 11, Li Kan spoke with the great Kun Lao, many decided that it was he, and did not know that it was actually a human Ryden, especially considering how younger he looks.

One user explains by publishing an image from a trailer, clarifying that Ryden is shown in the entrance frame, writing that: "In fact, this is Ryden with Kun Lao in this scene. Not the great kun lao". Judging by the comments under this message, many did not know that it should be Raiden, although a characteristic headdress, lightning in the distance and Shinnok amulet clearly show that this is a human Ryden.

This confusion applies to Kun Lao, because it is currently unclear whether it is Kun Lao we know, or this is the great Kun Lao. Only Kun Lao call it on the site, so now we have no assumptions, but most of the confusion is now connected with the personalities of the first two characters that we see.

Raiden and Kun Lao are the main sources of confusion (Li Kan, Milena and Kitan, fortunately, are quite obvious), but it also spreads to Scorpio and Sab-Ziro, which are much younger than we saw them before. However, this confusion also has a positive side – fan theories.

One theory is as follows: Scorpio and Sab-Ziro have an emblem of Lin Cui on his chest. In their opinion, this version of Scorpio can be so -eater (Scorpio son in Mortal Kombat X), which would be an interesting turn.

Another popular topic for discussion is now the personality of the Sab-Ziro, which we see in the trailer. Of course, we know that this is a sub-ziro, but in the canon of Mortal Kombat there were two of them-Bi-Khan and Kuay Lyan. One of the users notes that Sab-Ziro here looks older than Scorpio and he does not have a scar, which suggests that this is the first sub-ziro, bi-khan.
